කොරියානු ජනරජයේ ශිෂ්‍යත්වලාභීන් ගේ ආදී විද්‍යාර්ථීන්ගේ සංගමයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකා ශාඛාව, ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ කොරියානු තානාපති කාර්යාලයේ සාදර අනුග්‍රහයෙන් සංවිධානය කරන ලද, 2020 කොරියානු ජනරජයේ පශ්චාද් උපාධි ශිෂ්‍යත්වලාභීන් සඳහා වූ නම්නීකරණ වැඩසටහන 2020 අගෝස්තු 4 දින කොළඹදී සාර්ථකව පවත්වන්නට යෙදුණි.
නවක ශිෂ්‍යත්වලාභීන්ගේ ඉදිරි වසර 3-4ක කොරියානු අධ්‍යාපන ජීවිතය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට වැදගත් වන මූලික කරුණු සහ ඔවුනට එහිදී මුහුණ දීමට සිදුවිය හැකි අභියෝග සහ ඉඩප්‍රස්ථා සාකච්චා කිරීමත්, ආදී විද්‍යාර්ථීන්ගේ අත්දැකීම් හුවමාරු කරගැනීමත්, ශිෂ්‍යත්වලාභීන්ගේ ගැටළු සඳහා පිළිතුරු ලබා දීමත් මෙහිදී සිදු විය.
ආදී විද්‍යාර්ථීන්ගේ සංසදයේ වත්මන් සභාපතිවරයා වන ආචාර්ය තරංග රණසිංහ සහ හිටපු සභාපති ආචාර්ය අරුණ රණවීර යන සම්පත් දායකයන්ගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් පැවැත්වුණු මෙම නම්නීකරණ වැඩසටහනට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ කොරියානු තානාපති කාර්යාලයේ තෙවැනි ලේකම්තුමියගේ මෙන්ම කැලණිය විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ කොරියානු භාෂාව පිලිබඳ ආරාධිත මහාචාර්යවරියගේ ගෞරවණිය දායකත්වයද ලැබුණි.
ඉතා සුහද ලෙස පැවැත්වුණු මෙම වැඩසටහන කොරියානු සම්ප්‍රදායික ආහාරයන්ගෙන් යුතු දිවා භෝජන සංග්‍රහයකින්ද සමන්විත වූ අතර තම ඉදිරි කොරියානු අධ්‍යාපන ජීවිතය සාර්ථක කර ගැනීම සඳහා මෙම නම්නීකරණ වැඩසටහන ඉතා ප්‍රයෝජනවත් වනු ඇති බවට නවක ශිෂ්‍යත්වලාභීහු විශ්වාසය පළ කළහ.
An Orientation Programme for GKS 2020 Graduate Scholars, organized by the GKS Alumni Sri Lanka Chapter an generously sponsored by the Korean Embassy in Sri Lanka, was successfully held on August 4, 2020 in Colombo.
This year's (2020) Global Korea Scholarship (GKS, formerly known as Korean Government Scholarship Programme or KGSP) graduate students will be departing to Korea soon. Therefore, the orientation program was focused on things that are of important for a successful life of studying abroad including the challenges and opportunities as a foreign student in Korea, useful tips for living in Korea, etc. followed by an exchange of experiences of the alumni members and answers to the questions of the scholarship recipients.
Dr. Tharanga Ranasinghe (University of Kelaniya), current president of the GKS Alumni Association Sri Lanka Chapter as well as Dr. Aruna Ranaweera (University of Kelaniya), immediate past president of the association were the resource persons. The event was graced with participation of the 3rd Secretary of the Korean Embassy in Sri Lanka as well as the Visiting Professor in Korean Language, University of Kelaniya.
The event was followed by a delicious lunch with traditional Korean food. The participants believed that the orientation program will be very useful for their life in Korea as a foreign student.
The GKS Alumni Sri Lanka Chapter takes this opportunity wish all the best for this year's GKS Graduate Scholarship Recipients.
